TALON, this one's for you:
http://sportsatl.com/ASCAREAEVENTS/A...wLuncheon.aspx"It’s time for the Atlanta Sports Council’s annual College Football Preview Luncheon presented by AT&T and Georgia’s Best Chevy Dealers. Join us on July 27th at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis as ESPN’s Lee Corso, Mark May and Brad Nessler offer their predictions for the upcoming college football season, while Tony Barnhart will get a look inside the huddle with coaches Mark Richt, Paul Johnson and Bill Curry."
Notice TALON, no mention of Monken, just the big boys here. But it's cool, even as a Southern fan, you can still register and listen people talk about real football programs in Georgia that actually matter.![]()

So the ATLANTA sports council did not invite the real GSU which is located three hours away and has not played a game in ATL but once in 20+ years..... so weird. The only reason GaState got an invite was mainly location and to be kind to the inept senior citizen coach you have idiot, why else would they invite a team that has not won a game and will probably be under dogs to something called Lambuth.
Death pool on coaches? I got Curry. Ghetto location, ugly school, horrific football team, and stank women. Not a good scenario for a dude with heart problems.
Hey look, you tell yourself whatever you need to say to make yourself feel better about the fact that Southern is so irrelevant in Southeast's largest media market that your coach, who spent years as an assistant in ATLANTA, can't even get an invite over a start-up program. Really, whatever you need to say, I'm all for it.
Don't pay any attention to the children, people. They act like this sometimes when they really want attention, but have yet to actually do anything. Just let them throw their tantrums and once they struggle to be .500 against division 2 teams and the worst of the FCS, they'll realize its best to stay in their own room.
I'm just curious as to whether the guy is making a lame attempt to yank some chains or if he is actually delusional enough to think his school's program is relevant to anyone other than all those folks who will be filling the Dome to see them take on the mighty Eagles (of Lambuth University).
