    Maybe they’ll go hire CY.

There was a post on r/CFB the other day talking about how before 2019, App hadn’t beaten a P5 since 2007. People couldn’t believe it, and had it in their heads that App was a P5 killer.

Perception is a very strong thing.

    8 - Georgia State
    7 - ULM
    6 - FAU
    5 - Troy
    4 - ULL
    3 - Appalachian State
    2 - Ole Miss
    1 - Boise State
We sweep 7-12 and split 1-6. 9-3 final answer. Possible 10-4 or 11-3 when you factor in the SBC CG and NOLA Bowl. We bring basically our entire offense back, most of our front 7, and Duncan. Our secondary is talented but unproven. They’ll struggle early but play better as the season goes on. I think DeBesse and Ruse with a healthy and experienced OL will figure out how to score points. Excited to see what changes to the passing game that DeBesse alluded to.

    Pre-Season FPI Predictors (rounded)

    Boise St: 14%

    Campbell: 99%

    FAU: 49%

    ULL: 30%

    ULM: 70%

    App St: 33%

    Coastal: 43%

    South Al: 80%

    Troy: 65%

    Texas St: 90%

    Ole Miss: 17%

    Georgia St: 57%

So 6 wins with a toss up against FAU.

Here's my data-driven season prediction. There's two different predictions, regular and optimistic. Regular assumes the offense and defense will be somewhere between 2018 and 2019. Optimistic will be our offense performing as it did in 2018 and defense as it did in 2019.

I use the preseason S&P offensive and defensive ratings of our opponents and then extrapolate how well we willl do this year.

A couple of things I will do that FPI won't:

    1. I'm giving us a 1.5-point bump for turnovers in each game. This is assuming a turnover margin somewhat worse than 2019. With all the skill position players and defensive players returning I don't see why we won't have another good turnover margin this season.

    2. I'm giving us a 1-point bump for each game for penalty yards. It's been a strong suit of Lunsford's teams so far and it has played a real role in our wins being above expected the last 2 seasons.

    Regarding football Scheduling.

Willie Taggart doing Willie Taggart things.

He was their star player. Had a school record 3700 yards and 28 touchdowns last season. This is good news for GS going forward.

Reportedly, Lincoln Riley kicked him off the team at Oklahoma after being arrested for public intoxication, and almost got kicked off the team at FAU prior to this, from what I read.

Ok so "only" twice. Guess he'll end up in FCS or D2 now.
