Utilizing the normal flow of thread logic used here, so we are going to have flashing colored lights in the stadium toilets.

Seems a bit excessive but if it will put butts in the seats

The lights were on at Pauline last night, definitely had a different look to them.

The lights are on just about every night at Paulson and the RAC... I guess the cost to burn these is the major factor in the decision to go with this and not just so we can strobe them like Alabama and GA. Sorry, but I can't hardly stand to watch when they do this... feel like I'm going to have a seizure.. LOL

Tv is the main reason for the change. The current lighting at Paulson is awful. The ability to do lighting effects is just an added bonus. I imagine a lightbulb and an LED light panel cost about the same to run.

LED should actually be cheaper, although I'm not sure how much more. Regular bulbs use a TON of power. With LEDs, you're converting AC to DC to power them so there's some power lost in the conversion so that might be where it washes out if the power usage of both is similar.

The best thing is they shouldn't "fade" like regular bulbs do and should be more robust in terms of handling on/off power cycling over time.

What Klak said, if you buy LED for your home, you'll see that a 10 watt LED is the same as a 60 watt old school bulb. Plus LED has the whiter and less yellow light. I assuming stadium LED would be the true daylight and a much whiter white. So yes they do use less electricity.

For example most of my house has dumb bulbs and I use these. I have a few smart bulbs.

    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

uses 80 percent less energy than 60 Watt Incandescent Bulbs
last 10x longer than incandescent and halogen bulbs; Each light bulb is expected to deliver a lifetime of up to 10,950 hours and 10 years of light
No longer eating crow for saying "The TO is gone get over it!!"
