Then Monken did luck up getting into the playoffs, yet he beat some of the best teams the playoffs had to offer. Maybe Hatcher could have done that, then again maybe not.

You donít have to buy it, but he said it. It wasnít him ripping Monken. Itís been almost five years ago now so I canít remember exactly how I asked it, but I basically just asked him what was the difference in playing for each of them.

What would Monkens tenure have looked like if he didn't bring Jaybo Shaw with him?

    Not good!

    Still Shaw wanted to come.

Shaw was a GREAT Flex QB but he had his limitations as shown in the NDSU games.

As a true Option QB he maid the right decisions. When we played NDSU they took the FB and pitch forcing Shaw to keep on the triple. Shaw was slow to the LOS and did not have the acceleration or top speed to make the big running plays.

In our last game against NDSU they ran the same defense. They tried to take the FB and pitch but our QB burnt them every time.

STUDENTeagle, I know you are a true GSU fan. WE just disagree on some points.

You said - "I can’t remember exactly how I asked it, but I basically just asked him"

(Him), being one person. You usually cant get a good picture using one persons opinion.

I don't understand what you mean. You don't have to buy it but it's true. When the playoffs were 16 teams 7-4 teams (like our 07 team under hatcher) didn't make the playoffs. it expanded to 20 and our 7-4 team under Monken made it. If not for that expansion the 10 team is at home with no opportunity to win those additional games. Now the fact they went out amd beat those teams I'm not taking away from them. Once again, im a huge monken fan.

Those are facts whether you believe them or not. It's also a fact that we loss the conference title on a missed fg vs furman that many fans to this day think was good.

Everyone finds it believable other than people who don't care about facts when it comes to Fritz.

*****OH I BELIEVE YOU GSU01, yet by the 16 team standard Vander or Hatcher would have made it either by the 16 team standard!

VanGorder the NFL Super Head Coach
    Record 3-8

    HC Hatcher, Mr. Bubble Screen
    7-4
    6-5
    5-6

Then Monken had to come in and make flex option players out of them

2010, 10-5, *(SoCon 2nd)*, Made semi Finals (7win regular season)
    2011, 11-3, *(SoCon 1st)*, Made semi finals ( 9 win reg. season.)
    2012, 10-4, *(SoCon 1st)*, Made Semi Finals ( 8 win reg. season)
2013 7-4 but did beat Florida
