Thread: Rainy Days and Eagles

  1. #1

    Default Rainy Days and Eagles

I was thinking about how crazy the weather has been this year, by my count we are 4-0 in the rain (3-0 home, 1-0 away). Seems historically we have had big wins in the rain (Hugo Bowl, Camellia Bowl, Go Daddy, the 99 Championship game). Am I missing any? No losses come to mind? My personal favorite was the Go Daddy.

Didn't it rain 98,99, and 00 national championship games?

Not sure about 2000. 98 it did, we kept putting it on the ground.

Don't remember AP slipping on the mud after scoring the game winning TD?

Pretty sure 2000 as well. Michael Ward has a picture of him either blocking a field goal or trying to block one and they are muddy as heck.

I think it rained every damn time I went to Chattanooga. I honestly don't think they ever see the sun.

98 and 2000 NCs were worse than 99 weather wise
