Anyone know whether this crew was the same that came up with the ‘dancing’ flag?
I think officiating was better, but they missed a few big ones.
-Very obvious targeting on Werts.
-Flagrant pass interference smack in front of Lunsford (he was chasing the ref around chewing *** for the whole next series..... As well he should have.)
-Ball spots continue to be unfavorable. I saw a real big one where King had a first down and they took about a yard back.
-missed a tremendously obvious horse collar/face mask on King. That ULM guy hung on by one side, came around and did the other. Probably the most obvious one I have ever seen.
Eventually, I guess they sort of gave up because it wouldn’t make a difference, but throughout the first half it was pretty rough again.

No longer eating crow for saying "The TO is gone get over it!!"
Here's the deal. The officiating across the board (all FBS) has been poor this season. Are calls being missed? Yes. But it goes both ways. Anyone who actually thinks the refs are purposely calling against GS (or any other team) is just wrong.
Does it upset you when we get away with blatant offensive holding, DPI, or defensive holding? Or just when it's a missed call against us? Prime example - we got away with holding on App's last drive that would have put them closer and given them a first down.

SBC refs have been especially just sloppy this year.
I still want to know what grabassery was going on in the 4th quarter on ULM's fourth down. The sticks were drifting all over the place and it was like they had no idea where they were supposed to be. Meanwhile the play clock was still running and I'm guessing ULM called a timeout. However they were never assessed a timeout. That was a cluster****. I was mad FOR ULM cause that was just terrible management by the refs.
Also the incident at Troy last week where we had a big play and they rolled the game clock resulting in 10-12 seconds rolling off before the refs even spotted the ball on the field ready for play. That's inexcusable.
Missed false start early on against ULM, instead they called offsides on us. Multiple people in the deck called out the OG moving causing us to move.
The review on their first TD was ridiculous. We called TD from the deck...it was quite obvious. Why even bother.
Officiating has its ups and downs, but what I've noticed in the SBC this year is a lot of just not paying attention to details. Clock management by the refs has been awful, and that's not even judgement call type stuff.
I wish investigative reporting were still a thing.
Y’all know some of these jerks have some money riding on these games.
They probably aren’t dumb enough to bet first person, but I bet it happens frequently via a friend/relative. Officiating is particularly bad in close games.
I really wish the SBC would step up and address this stuff. Not very hopeful, considering Travis tried to get the guy to say what he was doing about this mess and was told that he would not comment now or at any future time.
A good investigative journalist could make an example out of a couple of officials. They aren’t just doing this stuff randomly. Especially in close games-like vs UGA. That game quite literally hinges on a couple of stupid *** calls.
Different crews. You can see the officiating crew by going to the GS football schedule and clicking on the game's box score, and scroll past the scoring summary.
