I don’t want to be Oklahoma Sooners 2018, but the defense has more than carried their share of the burden to get victories this season.

    Hail southern
but, didn't today we drew to 27-21.? Down by one score?, what happened? Defense fault, offers fault? We will have our hands full with ULM QB next week, he had a hell of a game today. You know one could argue that both the Troy QB and the ULM QB are better than Appy's QB.

I sure hope our defense figures some stuff out.

All you gotta do is throw short, crossing 10-15 yarders on us, and you’ll complete damned near every time.

A school that is known for its often prolific offense is fussing because it’s offense blows. Imagine that.

we are less than stellar on offense. You know nobody pretty much plays defense in SB but a lot of teams can offensively put up numbers. Even Gag today in their loss put up some huge numbers.

somebody said earlier it wouldnt have mattered if we could score 48...the defense was lost and the offense was playing behind and average all day. Shouldnt have been a surprise what they were gonna do, we werent rready

We were horrible on offense AND defense. They’re not mutually exclusive. But when the defense blows like it did today, it would be nice to have an offense that could at least keep us in the game. Blame the OL all you want but this is a nearly two year sample size on DeBesse and a three year sample size on Werts. Both are mediocre at what they do.

Also, it’s inexcusable to market yourself as a blue collar football team, yet cannot convert on 3rd or 4th and short like right before half. We gave the ball right back to them and allowed them to kick another FG.

For those that complain about Debesse, what is your solution? We can’t bring a new OC in at this point in the season, and if we make any type of wholesale changes on offense I guarantee we have some sort of natural growing pains so we really are stuck with what we’ve got.

You've got crap pass protection and a QB with no pocket presense to make it easier for then. Run blocking isnt good at all either. Tell me what you would do as OC that we aren't doing now?

No change will happen until the end of the season and I’m skeptical that it even happens then. He just needs to do a better job. Maybe bench Cam Brown in favor of a better blocking TE. It’s clear Werts will never have good pocket presence, maybe a couple series for Tomlin per game wouldn’t be the worst idea. Finding more creative ways to get the ball to playmakers like Kennedy, Hood, and Murray. Get D1 and Michaud more touches. Speed up the tempo from time to time. There’s plenty we can do in the short term.
