Thread: Tragic loss of two Eagle Fans

Default Tragic loss of two Eagle Fans

On the way home yesterday evening, I was informed that a tragic accident had occurred not too far from Statesboro involving two of our own that were by all appearances, headed back from the LSU game.

The driver and a passenger lost their lives, one on the scene and the other at the hospital.

I don't know yet their names, but my heart is heavy this morning for them and their families. I couldn't help but think as I still had about 6 hours left to drive, how just a few hours earlier, those same fans were seeing the exact same scenery as us - same as nearly all of us.

I was feeling down about our loss and the fashion it came in. Worried about our season, how Shai was etc. I still have those worries, but they were suddenly put into proper perspective yesterday afternoon.
It is just a game. Today, I pray for those members of our Eagle Nation who will be impacted by the personal loss the news of this accident will bring and their families. I feel like all of us are family in a way and today I will hold my daughter a little tighter, I'll kiss my wife a little longer and I will be saddened for a more important reason than the day before.

    Danny and Julie Hagan.

(I didn’t know them, but by all accounts were great fans and good people . Tragic.)

Ugh. Hate to hear that, I am sorry for the Hagan family loss.

Heard they have 3 kids at GSU. Don't know them but I've seen them around before. Terrible news to hear.

It puts things in perspective. I just met them in New Orleans before the game and we hung out with them at Pat Os watching the dueling pianos. They were great and huge Eagle fans. I just can't believe this happened.

Is there a gofundme? I was just thinking what could be done to help them out.

Not yet. I think something is in the works. I believe the mom worked at a credit Union. Not sure if something will be set up there, or in another way. I think they want to avoid having to pay any fees.
If I see anything, I'll share ASAP
