Remember when the Uga players stormed the field after winning against us . That was hilarious.
    Go Eagles!!

All joking aside, it's all risk and no reward for UGA to play us...or any G5 for that matter.
There is no upside for them.

I think we will see a whole lot of P5s stop playing G5s unless they have to.

Although we pulled off one win, that number would easily be 4 or 5 if a couple of unlucky breaks didn’t go against us.

All these G5 teams get better. We will soon be legit competition against any top 25 team.

(we saw what happened to the last top 25 we played.)

    Thuga.

At least they changed their mascot from the original “goat” to a dog.

    Hail southern.

They still take both out on dates, tho.

    Ironic.

I understand there are a lot of feelings involved here. I would rather bleed out than talk about our feelings. There isn't any sadness breakfast foods can't fix. So put your tears back in your eyes where they belong folks.

Some of our fans are slightly obsessed with UGA... let them do them and lets worry about beating UL Monroe first

The fans don’t have to worry about beating UL Monroe because the fans don’t play them. However, the fans do have to worry about where, when and who they choose to pay to see play football.

There is something to keeping revenues in state though. Why should GS fans take their money to Louisiana, North Carolina, or Minnesota when we could play against in state opponents. Likewise, we should play Mercer and KSU instead of Maine. (Fair is fair). Sure, it's great to being our of state fans to Statesboro... but who would bring more fans? Maine or Mercer? In state games are nothing but a win for everyone from a financial point of view. And isn't it all about the $$$?

Last I heard, Mercer wanted far too much money to drive 2 hours down I-16. They can barely compete in the FCS. They have no chance of winning against any FBS competition. Why play GS and get paid 400k when they could fill that schedule spot with Auburn (just announced for 2022) and make 800k? They’re going to get blown out either way so they should maximize their profits while they’re at it.
