Thread: Worst individual football plays in team history

Default Worst individual football plays in team history

Figured we could all share our favorite **** GS football plays. Sometimes you have to laugh at your pain.

One of my favorites was fumbling the ball on the 1 yard line (when we had a chance to go up by 17) late in the 3rd quarter against NC State (2014 season).

No doubt in my mind we win that game if we simply don't go under center.

I have to vote for this. The simple fact that you didn't even need to specify the game tells me all I want to know.

Not going for it on fourth and 2 or less.

Best play in this history of GSU football is the triple option reverse. Under center, preferably. But, I like it out of the gun as well.

Mine is Tyson Summers wasting all three timeouts in the Arkansas State game to ice the kicker on an extra point. All we needed was a field goal. To think as well as Ellison threw in that game we couldn’t get in Koo’s range with three timeouts was a different kind of thinking.

Yes, if that doesn't happen UGA probably doesn't kick the field goal to tie it up and we probably win. That's where the game was lost, not on a missed block on the wildcat play.

The refs still destroyed that play. One of the most corrupt situations I can think of.

1988 NCAA Division I-AA Football National Championship. Georgia Southern was trying to become the first team to win the national title three times. Raymond Gross fumbles at the Furman 10-yard-line late in the game, and the Paladins won the game 17-12.

    No question.

(Ironic That UGA lost their last chance at a NC with that exact same stunt.)

    Wait what?
