Thread: Letter from TK: Season tickets and the 19-20 Athletic Budget

  1. Default Letter from TK: Season tickets and the 19-20 Athletic Budget

Season ticket sales are going well as we are closing in on 6,000, but we have a goal of 7,000 sold and we need everyone's help in packing Paulson this fall.

It’s always a little worrisome when people start talking about “upgrades and changes” but don’t spill the beans. In my experience that usually just means changes. Time will tell.

Interesting, our money games pretty much cover our total travel costs.

They also aren't allowing any seat cushions to be brought in. You can lease them through the school, or go without. Not particularly a fan of that one, but I stand most of the time anyways, so it's one less thing I'll have to carry.

Well we are a G5 in the Sun Belt. Were you expecting Texas or Norte Dame money?

I love the seat cushion ban. Too many of those took up 2 seats.

I think that # may have taken a bit of a hit in recent years, but I could be wrong, as for the cushions, I can agree that some are a bit oversized (if not too wide, then too deep, and leg room is already hard to come by for most). Still unfortunate that everyone has to go without unless you pay per year what you could buy a cushion for that would last a lifetime.

I like the seatbacks! Nice to be able to lean back every once in a while.

The football budget is over 24 million? TK said at the last eagle club meeting we had in Claxton that the budget was approx 15million. Have we increased our budget that much in 4 years? How does it compare with the average budget in the AAC, MAC or CUSA?
