Sun Belt has a lot of ??? Can GS improve? Eagles must to match 2018 success.
How will coaching changes affect App, Troy, and stAte, Tx St?
Will USA be better? How about GAST?
Will ULM be consistent? ULL appears to be the team with the least questions.
What will Coastal look like with just Chadwell?

It makes the season interesting and I'm looking forward to it. I trust Lundsford to build us back to where we expect to be, but being there in 2019 is unlikely given a tough road schedule and many gaps in personnel.
You're right E-Cliff as far as predictions this far out weather it be between GSU fans or the so called experts, for Buzz or any other GSU fan to say that we dont have a good chance at beating the 7-3 Gophers after what I posted about their offense arn't adding up the facts. GSU was lucky to pick up a mediocre Big !0 team.

Still I am making the prediction in a close game with the Gophers with GSU winning a close one.

The T-Option is the powerful ground game ever devised & the FLEX is the best way to run it.
If I want your opinion & don't like it I'll tell you what it should be.

The reason I'm harping on the Gophers game is because I thing GSU has a good chance at beating the P5 Gopher team that hasn't been good for years.

As far as the Sun Belt teams you mentioned, If we have improved from last year as our Head Coach says we have, just from the spring game, we still have a chance to improve even more over summer practice.

I still say we go 9-3 or 10-2 in the regular season with a win against the P5 Gophers. Why you ask, Because I'm a GSU fan and when improvement it is possible!

I’ll admit that you are truly committed to this narrative, and I commend you for it. In the past, I would have felt the exact same way. In the Monken and Fritz days I fully bought in to the belief that we could knock off anyone. I drove to Athens, Tech, and NC State and truly felt we’d win. But the Summers happened.

Lunsford has done a great job, but the Summers’ taint is real. I went to Oxford, Auburn, Birmingham/New Hampshire and it was embarrassing. The Indiana and UMass games were worse. Indiana was one of the teams that my southern bias came out. I assumed we would have beaten them because like Minnesota they had a losing tradition. But we got molly-wopped. It wasn’t even close. Minnesota has very little football tradition, but they have size and talent. Can we win, yes. But I don’t foresee an upset. Not any longer.

Minnesota was really young last year... 58% of their team were freshmen. You have to believe they will be better. Also, that O-line is huge and athletic. I don’t think our current d-line is any better than Tech’s and they got bulldozed. I understand stunting and speed, but I just don’t think we have it. Our only hope is that our offense can hang and we make it a track meet.

Chris - "Lunsford has done a great job, but the Summers’ taint is real. I went to Oxford,"

TALON - I understand your weariness. I don't know If Lansford and Staff will become a GREAT GSU staff as some of our past coaches.

As I said before, many GSU fans thought our players were just over achievers last year. If you look at Erk's first 4 years and the Monken era you could say the same thing.

In no way am I comparing Erk & Monken. Lunsford will have to earn that distention. What I will say that if Lunsford took a bunch of over achievers from a 2- 10 season and then went to a 10-3 season with a bowl win. I don't think anyone should doubt our teams potential pre season.

per Athlon: - Previewing Minnesota's Offense for 2019, prediction 9-3

    https://athlonsports.com/college-foo...n-preview-2019

    Final Analysis -

The Gophers' light nonconference schedule and easier crossover games against the Big Ten East (Maryland, Penn State and Rutgers) put a nine-win season — including the bowl game — on the table for the first time since 2016. Given Minnesota’s returning offensive production, a measure of improvement from Annexstad and/or Morgan could make this one of the top offenses in the Big Ten. If Rossi’s defense builds on a strong finish to 2018 and replaces a few key tacklers, Minnesota might have balance on both sides of the ball.

Big Ten's Burning Questions (Minn: Can Fleck row the boat in the right direction?)

Minnesota: Can P.J. Fleck row the boat in the right direction?

Slow progress: Since taking over for Tracy Claeys, Fleck has been unable to match the Gophers’ nine-win 2016 season — their best finish since 2003. However, he has been improving the Gopher offense without a consistent starting quarterback, a fact which could change in 2019.

Two-man competition: Tanner Morgan was assumed to be the Gophers’ starter last season, but lost out to true freshman Zack Annexstad for most of the season. Annexstad was up-and-down prior to an injury, but showed potential. Meanwhile, Morgan went 4-2 as a starter after taking over for Annexstad, so the competition remains open. Both players have another year of experience, which should help them continue to grow.

There's a chance Minnesota uses its 6-foot-9, 400-pound lineman as a running back
    per Dustin:

It would be the most unstoppable goal line package in all of college football. If Minnesota handed the ball to 6-foot-9, 400-pound offensive lineman Daniel Faalele, defenses would have a lot of trouble stopping it.

And, apparently, P.J. Fleck isn’t opposed to giving the ball to the big fella when the regular season rolls around.

On Sunday, while interacting with a fan, Fleck apparently “left the door open” for Faalele to line up in the backfield a few times in the 2019 season. That report came from Andy Greder of the Pioneer Press, who tweeted out the Gophers could use the massive offensive lineman for multiple purposes.
