Thread: Coach Howard

    Default Coach Howard

Welcome aboard! Man, I just watched her introductory press conference and she rocked the house. Very enthusiastic, confident, supported by family, aware of traditions and the players and SunBelt teams. She said she has watched film on all of the SunBelt teams and believes she can compete with them. I think this is going to be a good hire. I’ll predict now that our basketball team will go 500 in conference this year. We shall see!

She seems to be a winner. From her record and attitude. GATA Coach Howard!

Real simple, get these girls, if they are athletic enough to play shutdown defense then she may win .500%. We were LAST in the SB in defense. 12 teams, LAST in just about EVERY defensive category, think about that. IMO, she's got her work cut out in spite of all her upbeat "rah-rah".

Yeah, that "rah rah" will die off fast when she really realizes what kind of budget she has to work with

It can't be worse than what Columbus St. is working with so I'm sure she's used to it. Heck, I wouldn't have wanted our ladies team to play them this year.

Oh, I know... was just playing around. I'm sure she knows what she's dealing with. Hopefully results improve.

It's mostly a dig at we, the fans/supporters, that we can't do better at donating and helping the overall budget.

I can understand the angst from y’all that go to the ladies’ games annually and feel a bit jaded to the lack of success we’ve had in recent years and feeling a tad underwhelmed by the hire.

Only time will tell as always. Youth + Enthusiasm + Track Record should help tremendously to overcome some obstacles.

Hope we look back and can say we were glad she became part of Eagle Nation.

I'm prepared to be patient. Not expecting much for at least a few years.

Hum. We only gave our last coach three years.

IMO that is enough time to know what direction your program is heading, especially in basketball. If we recruit well against our peers, the results should start paying off by that time.
