We brought out best to NOLA tonight.

The only real rough spots were ULM's hot shooting early where we weren't really playing bad defense, Tookie getting hurt, and a few turnovers due to us doing too much in running out on a break.

Jones, Quan and Crawley were huge for us tonight. Byington was really up on the team, saying that no one flinched when Tookie went out and everyone upped their play to pick up the slack.

One final note on Tookie. I know some people were wondering why we didn't call a timeout to get him out. When he first went down and the game was stopped, Byington sent a sub to the table. Tookie waved it off. It seemed like he regretted the decision as soon as he tried to move without the ball in the ensuing offensive set. But the ball stayed live and we missed a shot pretty quickly, so Byington couldn't stop the game for him. The refs saw him struggling on defense and blew the whistle after we retook possession. I guess you can argue that Byington should have overruled Tookie to begin with, but if the SBC Player of the Year is telling me he's good to stay in, I'm not arguing.

It will be interesting to watch Tookie in todays game for a couple of reasons:
    A) UTA's starting guard, really did a nice job on Tookie when we played them at Hanner. He was up Tookie's grill 24/7, it didn't matter if Tookie had the ball or where he was on the court, the guy was in Tookie's face. It affected Tookie's play. I'm sure Tookie remembers that and will be looking for some pay back.
    B) To see if his ankle injury affects his game today.

+1 and to think, there were some on here who at one time questioned Tookie's "fire"/intensity. There isn't a kid on this team that wants to win more than Tookie. I'm sure they got lots of ice and treatment on that wheel. If at all humanly possible Tookie will be out there giving it his all. He is the heart and soul of this team. But your right, let's hope he's 100% not 80.

To me the key is Quan. If he plays well, we win.
Too many Urkels on your team that's why your wins low

+1, hard and IN CONTROL. If he's flying around out there not in control he can be an accident waiting to happen, if he lets the game come to him he can be a quick force.

Ron Hunter seems like the kind of guy who would argue the earth is flat.

Never seen a coach ***** and moan like him.

As long as State is in the Sunbelt it will be 5 on 8 in basketball. It has become a sham.

Which is worse, TSU's football offense or TSU's basketball offense?

18% from field, less than that from "3". That is flat out pitiful.
