Default GSU schedule, Playoff expanshion & rule changes

    CFN

2019 Georgia Southern Football Schedule Analysis
    – The Eagles get a chance to go giant-slaying right away with a date at LSU. Maine should ease things up a bit before taking the option to Minnesota, but the Gophers were able to handle the Georgia Tech option offense last season. New Mexico State is an easy final non-conference game in late October.
    – After playing NMSU, the Eagles have to deal with the showdown at Appalachian State just five days later on the road. There’s time off before dealing with Troy from the East, but that’s on the road, too. The Georgia State and Coastal Carolina games are at home.
    – There’s a week off before starting the Sun Belt season off against Louisiana from the West, but going to Arkansas State late in the season hurts, especially as the final road battle in a run of three away dates in four games. The biggest bad break? The Eagles miss Texas State from the other division.

    Playoff expansion
Every season, it seems, calls for playoff expansion get a little louder—and whether you agree or disagree with an eight-team model, it’s hard to deny that all signs point toward that conversation becoming more and more dominant in 2019. Consider this: Alabama will likely win its second consecutive title come January. Next fall, the game’s best teams look poised to remain the game’s best teams: The Tide will get Tua Tagovailoa back and will reload across the rest of the roster. Clemson will lose its silly-talented d-line, but with Trevor Lawrence under center and a deep stable of defenders, it’ll be in the conversation again, as will Notre Dame, and Michigan, and Ohio State, and LSU. Maybe Oklahoma will fall off a bit without a Heisman-winning quarterback (more on that later), but really, there’s no reason to believe the status quo won’t persist, and that a four-team playoff field might not feature a single team that hasn’t been among the final four in the past. That’ll only add to the clamor, and at some point, the CFP seems likely to begin making concrete, if slow, steps toward expansion.

I would hope that the G5 could get an 5 team playoff system also. If a G5 like UCF could ever make the playoffs then they should be able to go.

A G5 8 team playoff system can still have bowls for the best that don't make the G5 playoffs or are selected for a high ranked bowl. (IMO)

Are you talking about the CFN report?
The GSU schedule on CFN is current for 2019.
