Again, all conspiracy theory.
Because a new stadium as proven with Gag State's facility is $50M. Because we don't have enough season ticket holders to expand Paulson. We need at least 5K more along with a larger donor base. Did you forget we have to "borrow" $2M from the students to get to $10M for the FOC? If the former Savannah/Armstrong people have so much money, why were they D2 and not in the ACC or SEC?
No longer eating crow for saying "The TO is gone get over it!!"

The European Union commissioners have announced that agreement has been reached to adopt English as the preferred language for European communications, rather than German, which was the other possibility. As part of the negotiations, Her Majesty’s Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a five-year phased plan for what will be known as EuroEnglish (Euro for short).

In the first year, “s” will be used instead of the soft “c”. Sertainly, sivil servants will resieve this news with joy. Also, the hard “c” will be replaced with “k.” Not only will this klear up konfusion, but typewriters kan have one less letter. There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year, when the troublesome “ph” will be replaced by “f”. This will make words like ”fotograf” 20 per sent shorter.

In the third year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters, which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the horible mes of silent “e”s in the languag is disgrasful, and they would go. By the fourth year, peopl wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing ”th” by ”z” and “W” by “V”.

During ze fifz year, ze unesesary “o” kan be dropd from vords kontaining ”ou”, and similar changes vud of kors be aplid to ozer kombinations of leters. But in seriousness. A 3rd verse could be a legitimate compromise should one be needed. As long as it isn't crap.

Why compromise? There is nothing in there that is Boro specific. They are simply throwing crap against a wall to see what will stick. Talking about it this long gives it more credence than it deserves. Do they want us to change our mascot next?

I suggest that if they want a new alma mater they should go start their own university.

In a few years once everything has settled out, it may be worth a new verse. The consolidation is going to be a big part of who we are moving forward.

And I heard they'll let us pick the new mascot as long as it has an eye patch.
