I wouldn'e necessarily disagree, but for the families of the graduates - and let's face it, commencement is more for the families than the graduates anyway - the dining options in Savannah are 3000% better than they'd find in Statesboro.

I've lived in Savannah for almost 7 decades now and I'd much rather be here than in Statesboro at any time other than when our Eagles are playing. To each his own, I guess.

Might be"to each his own". My experience was more like the proverbial frog boiling slowly. I liked Savannah growing up but when I moved to Statesboro in 92 I started realizing that I let out a sigh of relief when I hit I-16 leaving. For me it's mostly traffic. People can't seem to find the accelerator pedal in the State of Chatham.

    Wait a minute.....

    Savannah doesn’t have good food?

I think y’all are smoking some bad stuff again.

It’s a decent food city. Average. Nothing to change plans for.

    Are talking about Macon?

Savannah has a great culinary history, and is regularly featured on Food Network and such. So, don’t get you.

Not that it is a that true testament, but Savannah is regularly featured as a Culinary hot-spot on Food Network, Cooking Channel & Travel Channel. It is considered to be a foodie destination point. So, people do travel there for the food experience. I just saw a show featuring Savannah cuisines and restaurants on Andrew Zimern’s show, and he travels around the world looking for the best eats. But to each their own.
