Monken also strikes me as the kind of guy who has very little patience with drama.

I would imagine that is not much of a problem for him now.

Hiring an already-successful and clearly upward-trending young head coach would not have been the 'lazy' thing to do. I'll bet if you polled 100 well-informed college football people there would have been near-unanimous consensus that hiring a guy with Bohannon's resume was the smart thing to do (regardless of what offense he ran). TK is either a surpassing genius for identifying a true hidden talent that was invisible to everyone but himself . . . or he got lucky with CL. The fact that he whiffed so badly on Summers makes it hard for me to go with the former.
There's a third option...being able to see the things going on "behind the scenes" (as TK put it) gave him the chance to vet CCL in a way that few coaching candidates can be. You already know Lunsford is an adept recruiter, so when you can see that he takes team at rock bottom after the UMass game and clearly has the team on an upward trajectory on there you know you've got a very promising head coach. I don't see why that requires "surpassing genius" at all.
Don't choose to be annoyed. Choose to be amused.

If you think TK is the reason we don't have better non-conference football schedules, see this post.

Nice reply, guess we both appreciate Georgia Southern football. Can we at least agree to that fact without adjectives that we are both Eagle fans and appreciate the progress we've made in 2018 and 2019 will be a difficult schedule but will be successful?

He doesn't have to. I know what "YPOS" stands for.

Considering you've never added anything of value to this board, I doubt you'll be missed. Say hi to Opie for me.
