Pj doesn't leave anywhere very well does he?

Loses to Furman on his way out the door at GS.
Leaves Navy before the bowl game that they promptly lost.
Loses to Minnesota in bowl and last game.

That's fairly common for most coaches though. Monken lost to NDSU, Fritz lost to georgia freaking state...

Monken's loss to NDSU wasn't in the same league though. He was 100% committed to the team and the team played their ***** off.

Fritz is a whole different level of "out the door"

Monkens last game was the Florida win wasn’t it? Not really a bad note to leave on.

My mistake... but the point still remains.

That's true. I surely didn't mean to disrespect that. I remember that game. NDSU was/is basically a brick wall, no shame in losing to them.

Ga Tech looked flat and demoralized against Minnesota, for sure. But it might be that Fleck prepared the defense just right. I remember GT looked that bad against Notre Dame who also appeared to have the option all figured out.

When we lost to Furman after news of PJ's departure leaked, their quarterback went 13-for-13. It's hard to win any game when the other QB goes 13 for 13. (It's also hard to win a national championship, no matter how good your personnel, if you have seven turnovers. We found that out, too, against YSU.) Sometimes it is the coach, sometimes it is other stuff.
