Thread: Sun Belt Week 13 Thread

  1. #1

Default Sun Belt Week 13 Thread

Another big week for the SBC. There are only 3 teams in the SBC that are on the bubble of bowl eligibility. South Alabama will become eligible if they beat Georgia Southern, while ULL and Georgia State will be eliminated with a loss. NMSU is seeking its first 4 game win streak since 2002, but face a daunting task to do so, as they play Arkansas State at home. If they are to upset Arkansas State, and Appy and Georgia Southern take care of business, there will be 3 teams in 1st place of the SBC since there are no tiebreakers.

    FRIDAY:
    Troy (3-7) @ Georgia State (4-6)
    2:00 PM

    SATURDAY:
    South Alabama (5-5) @ Ga Southern (7-3)
    2:00 PM

    UL-Lafeyette (4-6) @ Appalachian State (8-2)
    2:00 PM

Arkansas State (7-3) @ New Mexico St (3-7)
    4:00 PM

    Texas State (3-7) @ Idaho (3-8)
    5:00 PM

    UL-Monroe (1-10) @ Hawaii (2-10)
    11:00 PM

What's going on in the Dome tomorrow that State can't rent it out for Saturday? Set up for the Falcons game?

Not sure...there is an abnormal amount of games on today though, so it could just be something with scheduling during Thanksgiving weeks

I wonder if they will be able to replace that qb next season? Bad time for them to start back tracking.

Should be interesting. He's pretty much the only good thing they've had going for them. Has he gotten any attention from the NFL?

If GASt wins this game they're gonna be coming into the 'Boro looking for bowl eligibility. Should make for an awesome atmosphere.

Gotta love State's punter drilling his upman in the back, then picking it up and running for what he thinks is a 1st down, talking smack about it, then having it ruled Troy's ball.

They really benefited from UAB defenders. Arbuckle can deliver if he has time. The GA St defense is improved which has been the main reason for their lack of wins.

Last year it seemed like we ran for 8 or 9 yards every play before the runner was even contacted. Hopefully we can get similar penetration but with a young O-line for us and improved defense by them it could drop a little. I still expect us to put up a lot of points but they will probably be harder fought.
