Poll: Re: Most embarassing loss ever

And it should have been 55-10, except the refs made the "mercy rule" call on the fumble after the TD.

Poll: Re: Most embarassing loss ever

I left after our turnover in the fourth quarter, but 2008 at WCU was probably the most embarrassing loss I’ve seen.

Yeah . . . our dark jerseys will be a major disadvantage. Scoff.

Re: CFN - Ranking SBC Head Coaches

Chadwell at #3 is WAY overrated.

In fact, I'd probably have to put Anderson at 2, if not 1. Napier may have authored a "bounce back" season at ULL, but that program had fielded winners...

    Re: 2019 Football Roster Updated

How big should our LBs be?

“Anchor” OLB is essentially a safety.

Our ILBs drop into zone coverage a lot, so expect to sign more players like Byrd and Ferguson and put 20-30 pounds on them....

Poll: Re: Football loss you'd most like to have back?

He’s DEFINITELY one of the greatest. IMO, there are only “possible” contenders for GOAT.

I used to think AP was the no-doubt GOAT until Armanti Edwards.

Poll: Re: Football loss you'd most like to have back?

I agree. Every great player (in terms of achievement) has the benefit of playing in a good system.

Armanti Edwards is possibly the greatest FCS/I-AA player of all-time.

    Re: 2019 Countdown To Kickoff

BVG brought him in, but he quit the team under Hatcher . . . no idea why. I forgot to highlight Jesse Hartley, who didn't complete his eligibility either, IIRC.

    Anyway, six names mentioned and...

    Uggh . . .

Hatcher had some serious roster management issues, didn't he?

    Re: 2019 Football Roster Updated

We should return both starters at S.

We've got plenty of signees at CB, and I
expect to see the heirs apparent to step up in 2019.

In other words, I'm not worried. ;)

I still go with '98 UMass. Another 15-0 season would have been great.

And that's the one I most feel that we blew.

Drinkwitz doesn’t have to be another BVG to fall short of nine wins, though. Virtually every G5 team...

    +1.

A full season in the system+a full offseason will make a big difference for our returning linemen.

  25. Re: The Problen with the 2019 nay sayers predicting 6-6

I’ve heard that his HS coaches consider this the case, and that he made an excellent impression on the GS coaches this spring.

Supposedly, he’s a good kid who flips the switch to nasty when he...
