  1. Re: My guess on the 2019 football schedule

I think ULL won't be til 2020. We had them 16 and 17 and Tx St is due at Paulson. I hope GaSt isn't TG weekend. Poor attendance.
  2. Re: Call/Request to shorten 21+ wristband lines

My thought is to ask why standing in line for beer is more important than watching the game. Is it hard to go three hours without a beer?

    Re: Season Ticket Renawls 2019

Hooray! It's that time of year when folks confuse donation with cost.
  4. Re: Graduation Ceremonies Moving to Savannah

Might be"to each his own". My experience was more like the proverbial frog boiling slowly. I liked Savannah growing up but when I moved to Statesboro in 92 I started realizing that I let out a sigh...

    Re: GS Presidential Search Update

I finished Summer '98 in August. That was the last quarter before semesters started in Fall '98. The conversion of hours would have messed me up if I didn't. I remember taking Country Line...

    Re: GS Presidential Search Update

You and I finished that same Summer 😁
I didn't want to walk either. I was already non-traditional at 29 and married with a 5 year old, but Mama still wanted her picture.
  8. Re: Graduation Ceremonies Moving to Savannah

Savannah State will never be merged. Armstrong has always been a commuter campus and commuters don't generally make loyal alumni. Savannah is UGA strong with a pleasant and detached attitude toward...
  9. Re: Graduation Ceremonies Moving to Savannah

Assuming you're in your 20s. It is a long time but it won't seem like it. 🤔
  10. Re: Graduation Ceremonies Moving to Savannah

I like this method above. The "tradition" of Paulson ceremonies started with Grube. I graduated twice in Hanner and would've been happy with a 30 minute ceremony. 2 ceremonies is silly, otherwise...

    Re: GS v ULL Hoops

Just a terrible first half. Poor shooting. 30% (2) and 10% from 3 on your own court?

Re: USA TODAY Final NCAA FBS Rankings

33 is ridiculously high. We benefited from a schedule that had 4 good teams on it and we went 2-2 and 7-1 against the rest. It was a great turnaround and a testament motivational coaching. It...

    Re: GS Presidential Search Update

Nice. Education, like other public institutions, has gotten bureaucratically bloated and fallen out of touch due to group think. Employing people who possess teaching ability with experience in the...

    Re: GoDaddy.com vs Camellia Bowl

It's seats sold. There was an investigative report on Briant Gumble's HBO show about the money behind the scenes of Bowls and how it's just a cash windfall for the organizers. Most schools lose...

    Re: GoDaddy.com vs Camellia Bowl

I liked Camellia more probably just because of the stadium, Saturday, weather. I think unpleasant weather will be a norm that time of year in Alabama. The smaller stadium made for a better...

  17. Re: What would it take for us and App to move to the AAC?

First, Ga St does have a better chance at AAC than we do because the USG classifies them as a research university. Ga State will benefit from the politics of Atlanta and continue to be propped up by...

Re: EMU game and overall season thoughts

CCL's Blue Collar mantra is a polite euphemism for lacking talent in the trenches. I commend the OL for working hard all year and making enough plays to get the job done 10 times.

    Re: Bowl Game

Montgomery sounds good to me. I'm more interested in the game than peripheral activities. Rather be in a stadium like that than the others that will look incredibly empty.
