    Re: For the CCL skeptics...

You're wrong. From my quick count, 63 teams won 7 or more regular season games this year. That's nearly half of FBS.

EDIT: I see you said "more than" so you may be correct.

    EDIT No. 2: My quick...

    Re: LSU Score Prediction Thread

The first video is not an option play. Although it looks like inside veer, it's a designed handoff to the B-back. You can tell because on inside veer, the handoff key is the first defender outside of...

Poll: Re: Best team we got a win over?

Nevada was never ranked in 1986, at least in the AP or UPI polls. The polls in 1986 only ranked the Top 20, so they might have been in the "others receiving votes" category, but they didn't make the...

    Re: OT: New Traditions

They did. I did play-by-play for couple of games in 2001. They broadcast all of the homes games and at least one away game that season.

Poll: Re: Football loss you'd most like to have back?

Another FCS championship would've guaranteed another trophy in the trophy case. A win over UGA would've guaranteed nothing. Memphis beat Peyton Manning and a top 10 Tennessee team in 1996 and it...

Poll: Re: Football loss you'd most like to have back?

1988 Furman hurts too. Pretty much the only blemish on Raymond Gross' career. How would he be viewed if we punch it in at the end he's a three-time national champion?

Poll: Re: Football loss you'd most like to have back?

2001 Furman. I was making plans for Chattanooga at halftime. That second half was surreal. I kept waiting for the offense to wake up and it never did.
  10. Re: Top GS Football games of all time - Nominations

2001. Very fortunate to get the win. We had a fourth down pass fall incomplete with about a minute left that should've sealed the loss, but an Elon defender had a roughing the passer penalty on...

    Re: More Transfer Portal fun.....

There's nothing novel in this, except it used to be Jucos instead of D1 players. It's a dangerous way to build a program, and very few pulled it off. I don't expect that to change.
  12. Re: GSU football attendance over 5 years from 2013-2017

For scheduling purposes, they absolutely do.

Owens is a pretty good recruiter. His main area is Jacksonville, so he should fit in pretty well.

Re: CJM Army and the Flexbone

It has that reputation, and I find it useful to look at. But I also think it focuses too much on the trees rather than the forest. To me, the end game for an offense is to score points. That's why I...

Re: CJM Army and the Flexbone

No, they wouldn't. They were a pretty efficient offense this year. Not very explosive, but they moved the ball well and held on to the ball.

They definitely have a weak schedule, but I'm not sure why you're harping on it when Georgia Southern's schedule is much weaker. There are several SOS formulas out there, but to pick just two, Army...

    Re: Ruse out at Tulane

He's already moved to a more passing oriented offense. Tulane has thrown as many passes this season as GSU did in all of 2014 and 2015 COMBINED.
