    Re: Weather for Saturday

I've been talking about the weather being rainy for a few days.
  4. Re: Eagle Insider: From the Desk of Tom Kleinlein (Alcohol / Kickoff times / Attendan

Well it ain't to beat the weather this weekend, or it would be moved to a way different time.

And it ain't the fair cause that's next week.

And average temp at this time is warmer than it's...

  6. Re: Bob DeBesse opens up on ‘disjointed’ Georgia Southern offense

The first play that was blown dead because of a false start actually looked to be Load PA which we've burned people on quite a few times. Would have been a great opening play. However on first and...
  7. Re: Eagle Insider: From the Desk of Tom Kleinlein (Alcohol / Kickoff times / Attendan

In regards to #2, I'm ok with waiting for the tv schedules. However, there's no way the numbers point to a 3PM game in October being the best to maximize our attendance. Period.

    We have data on...
  8. Re: Bob DeBesse opens up on ‘disjointed’ Georgia Southern offense

It's probably more to help us get space out there because he's admitted it runs a bit more lateral. The flex was still attacking vertical even on the alley, it didn't stretch out as much as we do...

    wat

First I'm seeing that. Definitely seen the total rain creeping up. Yesterday was at 1" now up above 2 on it's way to 2.5.
  11. Re: Bob DeBesse opens up on ‘disjointed’ Georgia Southern offense

This is another problem from the tight splits. The DE doesn't have to move much at all. In the flex and in 14/15 our splits were a bit wider so the DE had to show more commitment to what he was doing...
  12. Re: Bob DeBesse opens up on ‘disjointed’ Georgia Southern offense

Wider splits in flex were to make it easier to open natural running lanes inside for the dive. Spread the defense out by use of a "spread" formation and just hit them in the soft spots. By tightening...

Re: CCU v GS Score/Attendance Prediction

2" of rain expected throughout the day.

Neither team may pass the ball.
  14. Re: Bob DeBesse opens up on ‘disjointed’ Georgia Southern offense

We looked to be running play action on the first play against Minnesota, however the play was blown dead for a false start so we had to adjust. Their coverage changed at first and 15 so we weren't...
  15. Re: Bob DeBesse opens up on ‘disjointed’ Georgia Southern offense

They made good coaching hires and had stability at the same time we had a bunch of turbulence in our program.

    It catches up to you.
  16. Re: Bob DeBesse opens up on ‘disjointed’ Georgia Southern offense

    Yep.

Hard to play effective coverage without safety cover over the top when they're inexplicably coming up way too far for run support somehow.

The reason it may look like the corners got beat...

    Re: Injuries

We brought in 5 OL last year. OL is not a position that just fixes itself in one year of recruiting though.

However you don't just wholesale put 5 freshmen in on the line. They'll start...

    Re: Injuries

Another issue is the disparity of OL that were recruited vs walkons as upperclassmen right now.

We have almost as many freshman OL as we do upperclassmen OL that were recruited/ranked. The rest...
